Cleveland, OH – AEW has announced that they have repackaged wrestler Satnam Singh with a new “classic Hollywood leading man” gimmick called “Timeless” Satnam Singh.
The 7’2 giant, who originally was aligned with Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt, was in need of a refresh, according to AEW head Tony Khan.
“Satnam is great. Everything he does is great. We just felt like he’s done all he could with Jay and Sonjay and it was time for something new. I was looking at him in gorilla and thought, “That is a handsome, handsome man. We should do something with that.”
Noting the popularity of “Timeless” Toni Storm, Khan believes that the same could be done with Singh’s updated persona.
“We could really have a great dynamic duo with both of them,” said Khan. “A real Bogart-Bacall or Gable-Leigh type thing.”
Singh will now sport a thin mustache and pompadour look. Tailors have already begun crafting custom tuxedos for the former basketball player. The company is even paying for elocution lessons.
“Frankly my dear, here is looking at you, kid,” said Satnam about his new gimmick.
