WWE Fans Quickly Forget About The Speed Championship

WWE Speed championship

Quick City, MO – WWE fans briefly lamented the loss of the Speed Championship earlier this week before moving on with their lives.

Only in existence for about two years, the WWE Speed Championship was swiftly retired earlier this week. The championship, which wrestlers fought for in five-minute matches, was mostly relegated to online viewing and NXT.

While the Speed matches were used to showcase lesser-used talent and introduce fans to a faster style than commonly seen on television, they never fully caught on. Due to the rapid nature of the bouts, fans have already forgotten most of the Speed history.

“I think I once saw about a minute of it on Twitter a few years ago,” said Fergie Campoverde with a shrug.

“IShowSpeed had his own championship?” asked Davon Riggs in between bites of a sandwich.

“We’ll never forgot those few magical weeks when Elio LaFleur was champ,” sighed Elio LaFleur.

Despite the shocking news, fans are appreciative to have the few extra minutes of their lives back.
