Stamford, CT – Late Sunday night, WWE received their payment from the Saudi government for hosting Night of Champions in Riyadh next week in the form of piles of money covered in blood.
Fifteen Mayflower moving trucks pulled up to WWE headquarters at 10:00pm and unloaded the gory bounty into the lobby. Workers used shovels to scoop $20, $50, and $100 bills from the truck and toss them at the feet of TKO officials.
Several WWE employees assisted in the cleaning and sorting of the gruesome currency. Even wrestlers like John Cena and CM Punk chipped in to scrub the sanguine bucks.
WWE has received heavy amounts of criticism over the years for working with Saudi Arabia, with many saying the partnership was an attempt to “sportswash” the country’s long history of human rights violations. Despite the condemnation and record profits elsewhere, the company has pushed forward with this weekend’s Night Of Champions premium live event after receiving the cash.
“Well, at least no one is talking about my picture with RFK Jr. anymore,” sighed Triple H before going back to counting the stacks of simoleons.
