Blackpool, England – Following this past Saturday’s Survivor Series: WarGames live event, former NXT General Manager William Regal has been aimlessly wandering around his house shouting “War Games!”
Regal had reappeared on WWE television over the recent weeks to help promote premium event by yelling his catchphrase. Despite the specialty match concluding, William Regal continues to say “War Games!” in his free time.
“Well, once you start doing it all the time, it’s a bit difficult to stop,” admitted Regal from his living room. “Ron Simmons has the same issue. Just saying ‘Damn!’ all the time. Now that the event has passed, I’m just shouting it all the time. I fear it’s become a bit of a reflex.”
The former King Of The Ring’s outbursts have caused a stir locally. Regal’s triumphant cries of “War Games!” have been heard in the local Sainsbury’s, Houndshill Shopping Centre, and The Grand Theatre. Several locals have reported ducking and covering when they see Regal approaching.
“It’s most difficult at home,” admitted Regal. “I just kind of putter around the house now and yell it. Watching my programs? War Games! Raining outside? War Games! My son Charlie complaining about Joe Hendry? War Games!”
Family members are hopeful that WWE will ask Regal to announce upcoming events such as Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber to break him out of his funk.
