Boston, MA – The months-long rumors were confirmed this week when AEW finally signed a famous wrestler from Boston, Massachusetts. Fans attending this past week’s Dynamite were elated when former WWF star Pete Doherty emerged at the beginning of the show.
Doherty, known as “The Duke of Dorchester” joined All Elite Wrestling this week at “Big Business” to much fanfare. Known for his loud screams and missing teeth, Boston’s favorite son appeared at many WWF shows throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Fans were seen tearing up, overcome with emotion as the beloved jobber was now All Elite. Many online commentators felt that this acquisition was a game-changer and television ratings would soon turn around.
“AHHHHHHHHHH!” screamed Doherty, running full-force into a turnbuckle to the deafening cheers of the crowd.
