From day one I’ve always wanted WrestleCrap to be a place where folks came and laughed. So I appreciate it when the wrestling companies make ME laugh as well. Such was the case this week when the Young Bucks lost their EVP status at All In. After months of lording over everyone in the company, with absurd demands such as being called “Nicholas and Matthew”, they now had fallen flat on their faces and were about to get their comeuppance.
As they came out for their match, they saw not only their pyro nixed, but their video changed as well to simply read MatT and NiCK, completely off center on a black screen and in Comic Sans font. This is followed up by essentially a DVD screensaver with an EVP with a null sign over it in the most slapdash manner imaginable. Their limo ride and private jet footage was replaced by them getting out of an economy Uber like a couple broke college students after a bender. Last but not least, (the incredibly underrated) Justin Roberts buries them six feet under with his introductory spiel, emphasizing the T in Matt and the K in Nick just to get the point over that their little name charade was finished.
But hey, at least they got in the ring and were kicking butt! That is until they went to hit their finisher, the EVP trigger. It was at this point they realized with their EVP status revoked, these two knuckleheads could apparently no longer PERFORM THAT MOVE. I know a lot of folks hate the Bucks, but I will never, ever understand that. They are perhaps the greatest bumbling buffoons I’ve ever seen in wrestling!
