Andy “The Butcher” Williams unexpectedly died this past weekend. Tributes from the wrestling and metal world (Williams played bass in Every Time I Die and Atomic Rule) have been pouring in, with everyone having nothing but kind words for him.
Williams, along with The Blade were one of the earliest surprise debuts in AEW. Cutting through the mattress, the duo, along with The Bunny, attacked Cody Rhodes. While it should have been a rocket strapped to their backs, the debut is probably better remembered for Excalibur exclaiming “The Blade! The Butcher!” to a very confused Jim Ross.
I encourage you to search out more of their matches and give some of his music a spin when you can. The wrestling and music world lost a good person and he should be remembered fondly.
