Hey kids, time for another chance for our old pal “Diamond” Dan Garza to shine as he takes on the Taylor Made Man himself, Terry Taylor!

This would be repackage #873 for Taylor, but by golly does he look happy about it as he heads down the hallway. And I LOVE that hallway! Every office should have one that features pictures of WCW wrestler tacked up slipshod to a corkboard!

Already in the ring would be your friend and mind, “Diamond” Dan Garza! Look at him in his cute little track jacket giving the patented jobber wave to the crowd. Look closely in the crowd and you can see a lovely young lady checking her watch!

The match begins and we get a little bit of gamesmanship being played, with Taylor finally wrapping Dan up in a wristlock. But the Splendid Gem of Professional Wrestling™ counters that with one of his own! Sadly that doesn’t do much damage as Taylor quickly hurks him up for a nice looking suplex.
Taylor then slows things down, lulling Dan into the ropes…and then punching him right in the jaw. C’mon Dan! That’s a rookie mistake!

Taylor whips poor Dan into the ropes and catches him coming off with a back elbow (from which Dan takes a very nice bump). Terry then steps on the Gem’s face which Dan sells by screaming, “Not the mustache! Not the mustache!”

Terry then hits a back breaker and kicks our hero outside of the ring. You’d think this would lead to some hardcore shenanigans, but no – Taylor just politely waits in the ring for Dan to get back in. Not gonna lie, this isn’t the most thrilling of matches.

Back inside, Taylor nearly kills Dan by botching a powerbomb. You know how Sid used to scream about being the “master of the powerbomb”? Yeah, Terry could never say that. But he then locks Dan in a Boston crab, which causes Terry to legitimately start licking his lips. No idea why he was doing that and I will never ask.

Taylor then smack talks Dan, no doubt asking him why he (Taylor) has a better tan. Seriously Dan, I’m on Terry’s side on that – you’re looking mighty pasty here. A five arm (which is better than a forearm!) finishes things off as Dan stares at the ceiling lights. Guess I’ll just have to keep looking for matches with Dan…I have no doubt that one day he’ll win one!
Note from Dan himself regarding this one: “I was supposed to wrestle Abdulah the Butcher but Buff Bagwell messed up a promo about Taylor so they didn’t want to redo the match that with the guy Taylor had just wrestled so they switched me in that match. It was a good thing for me as Abby beat the crap out of the guy that took my place. I thanked Bagwell years later for saving my life lol””
