This past weekend as I write this, Tommaso Ciampa had just taken on Kazuchika Okada at All In 2026. While he wasn’t successful in his endeavor to win the match, his eight year old daughter at least got to get her moment in the spotlight…
…by giving Okada a taste of his own medicine. I know a lot of us chastise Okada for not always putting forth full effort into this AEW run, I think we can all agree that was a top notch sell of the kid’s double bird, leading to one of the biggest pops of the night. But it hasn’t always been sunshine, lollipops, and his kid flipping people off. Poor Ciampa had to start somewhere. Behold our squash this week wherein he was going into battle with…
…the Redneck Messiah, Jamie Noble. Just watching that entrance gives me flashbacks to every create a wrestler character ever made in any wrestling game from about 1996 to 2016.
And yes, today we are getting what is likely the WWE debut of Tommaso Ciampa, or as he is called here Tommaso WHITNEY….which is in fact his real name. To clarify the man you see pictured above is the same man…
…that is pictured here. Life sure is weird, ain’t it?
The match starts and Noble just mauls his young opponent into the corner, smothering Tommaso with kicks and punches.
Just when it looks like Tommasso isn’t going to get any offense in whatsoever, he locks in a side headlock. Sadly, this immediately gets countered into a really nice looking belly to back suplex.
Noble continues with the basic yet brutal offense as we get a body slam, a lightning fast legdrop, and a good ol’ fashioned elbow right to the top of the head.
Life doesn’t get any easier for Tommaso as Noble picks him up for what looks like a Samoan drop but is turned into a lung blower. Always loved that move and that one was a beautfy.
It doesn’t take long for Ciampa’s day to be over as Noble hooks him into what I can only call a wacky redneck submission. I’m sure it had an even wackier name, but I don’t remember it.
