Just so y’all know, you are welcome to request SQUASH of the Week candidates in the comments…that’s how we got this one today, as long time Crapper Sean B asked when we might see Stan Hansen and Dan Spivey obliterate some jobbers. Today’s the day my friend!
This is one of those “blink and you miss it” teams that were all the rage in WCW in the early 90’s. They actually were a pair in All Japan quite a bit around this time, but in WCW not so often. Still we did get this one so let’s all relish it together.
Their opponents would be…well, we don’t know because Hansen shoves the announcer out of the way so they can begin the assault. We would learn that these two victims would be Joey Maggs and Tim Parker…but I can’t say it really matters.
And the reason it doesn’t is because Spivey and Hansen are just beating the absolute stuffings out of them. Big boots and elbow after elbow have Maggs and Parker no doubt wishing they’d chosen a different line of work.
But Spivey and Hansen know they’re not getting paid by the hour so Hansen locks Parker in a brutal submission hold and whips him back and forth like a honest-to-goodness ragdoll. Parker gives up, but that’s not enough for Stan so he grabs the dude by the hair and rides him like a horse! Not sure this one tops the Stan-Sid team, but that one didn’t feature a pony ride so maybe? Let me know which you prefer down below!
