Bouncing around the interwebs this week and discovered a Gorilla Monsoon squash. Like I wasn’t going to bring it straight to my fellow Crappers!
And get this – we get a Gorilla fighting a MOOSE! This would be Moose Monroe, hailing from, and I am just quoting Gary Michael Capetta here, CANADA. That’s like a half step up from saying he’s from the Western Hemisphere.
We get introduced to Gorilla, who is wiping his eyes something fierce. The announcers are selling this as exhaustion from wrestling in a battle royal earlier, but it looks more like the poor guy got something in his eyes and is just doing everything to be able to see straight for this encounter.
So the bell rings and Moose attacks Gino before he even takes his ring jacket off. You’d think this is a pretty good assault, but Vince McMahon on commentary just buries the guy six feet under, telling us that the blows have next to no effect because Moose has no idea how to throw a punch. He then whips Monsoon to the opposite corner and comes running in, only to takes a boot (a size 18 boot per Vince!!!) to the gut which leads to an absurd bump.
Gorilla realizes of course he ain’t getting paid by the hour (and he was already in that battle royal earlier!), so he drops the Moose with a big ol’ chop then follows that up with a gigantic splash. And holy cow was this guy moving – I had zero idea Gorilla was EVER that nimble.
Which leads to my new favorite animated GIF in the 26 year history of this silly site. Will there ever be one better? Give me a break!
