If you HATE the Young Bucks, this is the SQUASH of the Week for you. And if you HATE AEW, even better I guess as it takes place on Smackdown of all places.

Yep, before they hit the big time the Bucks were just trying to get their foot in the door and make a name for themselves. So when the opportunity presented itself for them to appear in WWE, they did so, as you see here with Matt Jackson. Now you’ll note that is anything BUT Young Bucks gear, and that was by design, as they were told they needed to tone down and essentially look as generic as possible so this is what we got. And according to their book (which I HIGHLY recommend by the way), the trunks were too small and were ‘riding up’. Yikes.

Matt’s opponent on this evening would be Chcuk Palumbo. Yes, kids, you are reading this correctly. We are about see one of the Bucks get beat to pieces by CHUCK PALUMBO.

And make no mistake, that is absolutely what we’re getting from the start of the match. The best young Matt can do is get a dropkick off that has no effect, and in fact propels Palumbo back into the ropes to bounce off and deliver a kick to the fact all while (WWE HALL OF FAMER) Michelle McCool watches on. Chuck tosses Matt over the top rope, splatting on the floor before pulling his tiny trunks out of his backside.

Back in Palumbo throws Matt hither and yon, including waylaying him with a clothesline that started by grabbing his leg. After being tossed to the mat like yesterday’s garbage, he is picked up by Palumbo who doesn’t want to finish Matt quite yet. We then get our Young Buck “selling”, which is so laughable his own brother made fun of it in their book.

At last playtime is over and Chuck hits Matt with whatever his finishing move is called. Of course, the Bucks would go onto bigger and better things, namely becoming in my opinion one of the greatest tag teams I’ve ever seen. So while others may hate them, trust me, I sure don’t. I think the Bucks are awesome. Feel free to voice your displeasure at such as statement in the comments section below.
