We’re after WrestleMania, so as expected the company is making a bunch of roster cuts. And honestly, who could blame them. After all, it’s been a very lean year for the company and when you’re struggling to get by, you have to make tough decisions.

Of course that’s not the case at all, but it doesn’t matter and folks are getting the axe. Jordan will have the full story tomorrow, so stay tuned there. In the meantime, let’s crack open the mailbag and see what y’all want to know…
Eric K kicks us off with…”Some of these releases are downright baffling. If you’re Tony Khan, who would you go after?”
I would get Kairi Sane as soon as possible if she’s available. And I say “if she’s available”, because I can totally see TKO bringing her back after the outcry following her release. In fact, I would be more shocked that they don’t bring her back than I am that they released her in the first place. I can also see her heading back to Japan to work there or just retiring. I’d love to see her in AEW, as she’s great. I can’t see Tony wanting to deal with Aleister Black again. Motor City Machine Guns seem logical to bring in, but realistically I’d look at some of the younger talent that got canned and see if there’s any diamonds in the rough there.
Arya W ponders…”Were you at the ECW show in Indianapolis where Tazz returned to beat Mike Awesome for the ECW Title?”
Yep, I sure was! It was really weird to say the least. It was a huge pop of course but led to nothing at all and Taz wound up mired in a WWE career that was way less than what it should have been. Still, it did give us Taz as commentator and you all know I love that.
Heck, I still think this episode of Hey! (EW) is one of the best ever. I love it that RJ breaks him multiple times.
Joseph puts on a single silver glove for…”With the new Michael Jackson movie out, can I interest you in a co-producer role for my biopic on “the Michael Jackson of France”, Rene Goulet?”
I feel like I am one of like three people still alive who would get that joke, but bravo to you for it.
Dustin N asks…”What are your thoughts on the tweet posted by Lucha Underground after seven years of the account being silent?”
I kinda think that ship has sailed if it is mounting a comeback, but I would never argue with more Dario Cueto on national television. Still…I’d much rather see the return of Wrestling Society X.
Yep, what he said.
Rob N is hall of fame bound with…”Does Linda McMahon get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before Vince (McMahon – pronouns, pal) does?”
I still think Vince comes back some day, if for no other reason than to see a bunch of geeks bowing to him in reverence to make us all ashamed to be wrestling fans.
Ralph A wants to know…”Has there been any shortage of crap the past few weeks?”
Did you see the first night of WrestleMania? Pretty sure that’s the front runner for this year’s Gooker Award.
Matthew J asks…”Whats your top just love to watch wrestling related commercial?”
Too many to name. Sounds like a good Induction idea instead, so look for that in the coming weeks.
Sean B puts on the kilt for…”Outside of Hell comes to Frogtown, what Roddy Piper film is worthy for a Wrestlecrap induction?”
I’ve never seen it (or even heard of it before you asked this question), but The Mystical Adventures of Billy Owens sounds like a special kinda of horrible I’d enjoy.
Peter S is going to the arcade with…”Your favorite arcade game/pinball machine and what got you into the hobby? I was lucky enough to get a Data East Simpsons Christmas 1997 but I always wonder how people manage to afford one,let alone a whole collection.”
My favorite arcade machine is probably OutRun 2 (SP version please), which in my opinion is the best arcade racing game ever made. We have four of them at Rupert’s linked up and amazingly everyone who plays them seem to come to the same conclusion. Favorite pinball machine is currently Foo Fighters (Pro, the Premium has features I don’t care for), although I am also a huge Monster Bash fan. As for what got me into the hobby, I was around at the onset of videogames and remember an Asteroids machine being put in at the local market. I loved it and couldn’t get enough of it, it’s still one of my favorite games. Pinball I got into when I was in college – I learned that if you played well enough you could win free games, which meant less time in my boring dorm room. This would have been the era when Earthshaker and Whirlwind came out, and to this day I still love Whirlwind. As for affording pins, I basically fixed machines up and resold them. I kept doing that and wound up with some nice machines. But I try to not get too attached to them – if we need money for something else, I just sell them and put it towards more important stuff (ie, RD JR’s college tuition).
Thomas C is looking for some football insight…”Apparently there is a DOJ antitrust investigation regarding the NFL exceeding their antitrust exemption by making some games available only behind streaming paywalls (as opposed to on general broadcasts). In one extreme outcome, by the Grace of God, we could finally see the NFL dismantled on antitrust grounds. Your thoughts?”
I mean, there’s a zero percent of that happening because a) America loves its football and will bend over any direction needed to get it and b) it’s a money making machine that makes TKO look like a pre-schooler lemonade stand in comparison. With that much money, things that should logically happen don’t. As always, the rich will get richer and if you want to catch all the games, by golly you will pay for it. That’s the way of our world unfortunately and I don’t see it changing any time soon.
Josh G wraps us up with…”If you could see Will Ospreay in the ring against any superstar from a bygone era, who would you choose?”
I immediately though Bret Hart, if for no other reason that it would be my current favorite wrestler versus my favorite wrestler from another era. The more I think about it though, I’d be totally onboard with Ospreay vs. Randy Savage. Yep, final answer. I can only imagine the incredible match those two would give us. Oh yeah, Bruv!
And that’s it for this mailbag! Stay tuned for more in the future and keep those questions coming in rightchere!
