Vatican City – Former TNA star “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero is protesting the papal conclaves decision to not name him their new spiritual leader.
While people around the world celebrated the election, the former wrestler was not one of them. Standing in St. Peter’s Square, Dinero expressed his displeasure after not being picked.
“This new guy wasn’t voted Most Improved Wrestler of 2010 by Pro Wrestling Insider, I’ll tell you that much!” pouted Dinero. “I’ve wrestled in ECW, WWE, TNA, and OVW. That has to count for something, right?”
“So what that I don’t have a degree in theology?” asked a frustrated Dinero. “Who cares that I can’t speak Latin? I learned everything I needed to know on the streets. I’m a paragon of virtue! I am The Pope!”
Despite Dinero’s credentials, it unfortunately wasn’t enough to officially make him the Pope.
“This is probably AJ Style’s fault,” sighed Dinero. “Or Sylvester Terkay.”
