Albuquerque, NM – AEW wrestler Ricochet entered his latest war of words this past weekend after getting into it with a Speak & Spell.
The acrobatic wrestler discovered the classic electronic hand-held educational toy at a second-hand store earlier this week. Deciding to livestream his interactions with the speech synthesizer proved to be a poor decision as it quickly devolved into an argument.
Thousands of wrestling fans watched along as Ricochet, who recently has taken to Twitter to argue with fans and wrestlers alike, conversed with the toy.
“Where does I wrestle?” asked the former Prince Puma.
“A-E-W” replied the machine after he pressed the A, E, and W buttons.
“Who is the greatest heel in AEW?” asked the former WWE Speed champion.
“M-J-F” answered the speak and spell.
“What?! I’m the greatest heel in AEW!”
“Y” said the Speak & Spell.
“Because I’m the premiere athlete! I can outfight and out-flip anyone! I was held back, but now I’m special!” explained the high-flyer.
“Y” repeated the toy.
“I wear glasses now! I have a new robe! This is so frustrating! I’m going to kick your ass!” he complained.
“Y” said the classic children’s entertainment item.
“Because I’m working…or shooting…actually, I don’t even know anymore,” confessed Ricochet. “Who am I? Who is the real Ricochet? Who are any of us, really? Am I insecure? Am I having an existential crisis?”
“O” said the synthesized voice.
Following livestream, AEW has booked the two for an in-ring confrontation this week on Dynamite.
