Inglewood, CA – Nu-metal band Powerman 5000 have been added to WWE and AAA’s upcoming event “Worlds Collide” next weekend at the Kia Forum.
The platinum-selling band, whose US Billboard-charting song “When Worlds Collide” was a staple on MTV and rock radio in the early 2000’s, was personally booked by Triple H.
“Oh, yeah, I love PM5K,” smiled the Chief Content Officer. “Everyone knows I’m a big metalhead. I’d always blast Tonight The Stars Revolt! when we were on the road. What better way to show off this collection of new and exciting Raw, Smackdown, and AAA Superstars than with a song from over twenty-five years ago?”
Powerman 5000 is no stranger to WWE as their song “Bombshell” was previously used as the theme for the Dudley Boyz.
“We’re excited to be part of such a huge event with WWE,” said Powerman 5000 leader Spider One. “It’s been a long hard road for us over the past few years. Hopefully our van is able to make it by next week. Does anyone have a pair of jumper cables?”
TKO officials are hopeful that this collaboration launches a new “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling” era as Triple H is already in talks to bring in bands like Papa Roach, Mudvayne, and Static-X.
