If you go by today’s numbers, via inflation, one of those tapes will cost you $120 without shipping. Talk about gouging your wallet!

On E Bay someone has a copy of The Unusual Matches with a asking price of $199.95. I’m glad for having bought a used copy of it for $5 many many years ago.

  2. Scrooge McSuck says:

I always found it hilarious that they charged more for the Coliseum Video version of a PPV than the live show itself, and in the case of WrestleMania (5-7, specifically), you were losing an hour of content as well.

  3. RD Reynolds says:

I’m sure it’s common knowledge, but they weren’t selling to consumers really, they were selling to video stores, which would then rent the videos out for $3 or whatever a pop. So the question would be for rental places to determine if they could rent it out over 40 times. They probably made their money off WM2 just to me alone.

  4. Barronmore says:

Yeah, I remember renting all of these from my local store.
$1 a night and I was a happy happy kid.

  5. Drew B says:

Fiji got his own VHS cover?

  6. AdamX says:

Thank god for my local sun video back in the early/mid 90’s.

  7. Adam says:

I work part time at Goodwill. Somebody donated a crapload of wrestling tapes. Most werw Attitude era stuff, but in there was also Wrestling’s Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams and the above pictured Best of Volume 1. Couldnt resist for .50 each. Now i want to find more!

$59.95-Isnt that the price JBL tells us the PPVs will be if we dont get em through the Network??
