I felt that it was long overdue, but better late than never. Anyway, looking at this video REALLY dates the song AND the video. The Rock was well in character with how he was in 2000 and it just really takes me back.

Plus, this song was a total gimmick, especially considering how popular The Rock was back then. Not that the song was bad, however.

I have no idea who the rapper is (not my kind of music) but I can say without hesitation that it sounds really stupid.

At least Wyclef Jean doesn’t have fans insult him when one of his songs plays, like a certain rapper who claims that we can’t see him (which we can). PLus, this is lot better than Pie from WWF the Music Vol. 5

I think maybe I should have noted this, but Wyclef Jean was rather popular during that time. He had a hit album a few years prior called “The Carnival.” Also, he was relatively known during his days with the group called The Fugees. However, I still wondered what the deal was behind the concept of this song. I know The Rock was huge during that time, as well as the fact that wrestling was relatively popular during that time as well, but I guess they didn’t realize how dated it was going to sound in the long run.
