The Undertakers SQUASHES Stone Cold Steve Austin!

The Undertaker Stone Cold Steve Austin

They were two of the biggest stars in the history of the industry, so it may surprise you that once upon forever ago, The Undertaker completely obliterated “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in a match. Although to be fair, it was long before their most famous battles in the WWF. Let’s go back to the USWA in 1989 (!!!) and catch what may have been the first time these two ever locked horns.

At a glance, the duo going at it here don’t even look like Taker and Austin. And to be fair, we’re getting Steve Williams (Austin) vs. The Punisher (Taker). Check out those flowing locks on Austin! Seeing him with hair will always be weird. And zero idea why Mark was wearing a hood here, nor why he felt like doing some near jumping jacks in the middle of the match!

The Undertaker Stone Cold Steve AustinBut what a thrilling contest this is as Austin grabs a side headlock and won’t let go. I mean he is WORKING that thing like his life depends on it. Unfortunately for our future Chilly McFreeze, Taker lifts him up and gives him a massive back suplex.

The big guy follows that up with the jumpiest kick you ever did see. Seriously, what on earth was that? A nice looking punch follows, along with a flying clothesline that Taker would use until pretty much his last match. No tombstone at this time, as instead Mark picks up the duke with a giant legdrop. Can you imagine watching this and thinking, “One day, these two will be the biggest stars in the entire business”? Never give up, kids!
