I came across this page about WWF Crisps corn snacks that were released in the U.K in 1993.
Each bag had “points” on it that you could mail in for WWF stuff!
I’d have totally tried all three of these if they’d been available in the U.S.
And you thought Randy Savage didn’t like chips…
If the words chunky & cheese appear next to each other it’s probably something you don’t need to ingest or you may problems trying to digest. Mean Gene should have had a pickled liver flavor.
Looks like a foreign chip factory did not have “dead good” translation skills.
‘Dead’ in Brit-slang means ‘very’. As in, ‘Actually, you’re dead wrong with that assumption, mate’.
And I’m not getting into the ‘crisp/chip’ argument.
If ever a phrase described Bret’s personality, “pickled onion” is it
I am glad I am not the only one who remember these, they were the weekly pocket money staple for me (that and Dino Bites), these were corn puff snacks, and were light and tasty! Sadly, they were up against the legendary, inflation-beating 10p Space raiders (a snack which managed to be 10p for the best part of 25 years), and as they offered the same flavours, but the possibility of getting WWE stuff, they didn;t last very long.
Oh, and The Undertaker snacks were the bollocks, they always sold out after beefy Monster Munch!
