Yeah! Screw you, nature! We’ve got Gigantic Hulk Hogan and he’s on top of the world!

(You guys have no idea how proud I am to have made the first Carpenters reference in WrestleCrap history!).

As much as I enjoy poking fun at Mr. Bollea he was the reason I first started watching wrestling. The first Saturday Night’s Main Event drew me in with his bigger than life persona. But once I got see The Bulldogs, Ricky Steamboat, Macho Man & most of all The Nature Boy (not Buddy Landell, the guy who went WOO! or something) the real art of the show kept me tuned in. But Hulk you were my first time but as usual not the best time.

Hulk Hogan wasn’t who got me into wrestling, although there was a brief (and I mean, VERY brief) time I thought the character was cool.

I did like Rock N’ Wrestling, and his theme song Real American (and the cartoon song) were both really good.

It didn’t take me long get sick of Hogan, even as a kid. I appreciated his guest spots on the A-Team, but for the most part Hulk was just ridiculous to me.

I watched this video. Hearing all the faces putting Hogan over was interesting.

I had this one as a wee hulk mark. It was sort of a retrospective piece – not as good as the Hulk Rules ones.

  5. The Doctor of Style says:

Nah, if he was really the most powerful force in the universe, he’d be *holding* the world, not standing on it.

But then, he was the one who had to be carried, in the ring.
