“Hey it’s Good Ol’ JR here saying just add a little of my Bbq Sauce to this shirt and it’s no longer tasteless. If’s pretty damn tasty to be honest. BBQ!!! BBQ!!! BBQ!!! SAUCE!!!! SAUCE!!! SAUCE!!!”
I get a slight chuckle/cringe every time Hogan would mention taking down the Towers in some form or another when they would reair old SNME’s on WWE 24/7.
I bet you could wear this all over New York, at WWE Headquarters or at a WWE live event and you would consider yourself lucky if one person got the joke.
Even if someone does get it, that doesn’t mean they’d find it funny and comment on it either. I think there would be at least a few people that get it but don’t think it’s funny, they aren’t mutually exclusive things. I don’t find it funny in the least, but I do understand it. I wouldn’t talk to anyone wearing this shirt. This is one of the things that embarrasses me to be a wrestling fan, the shirt itself, and the fact that everyone seems to love it. I’m not mad, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I’m just disappointed.
1. That’s Akeem and Bossman.
2. Remember? What are both dead? Was their tag team that good?
3. What was their name?
4. Twin Towers.
5. Never For…
6. …Oh my god! That’s just wrong.
the youngsters won’t get the reference. But us old smarks will.
But Akeem isn’t dea…ohhhhhhhhh.

I own(ed) this shirt! I wore it to a Raw taping a few years ago, and no one- no one- understood the reference. I was so disappointed…
I would have totally given you a high-five!
Twin Towers? The originals? I WANT THIS SHIRT!
This one took me a minute! But I dig it!
I needed a good time to figure this out too……..
Wow I’m a New Yorker and even I’ve mostly forgot about 9/11 which made it hard to get the reference. Irony be damned.

Yeah, sadly I think you’re probably right!

I think they sell them on Amazon.
That’s amazing 🙂
My thought process:
1. That’s Akeem and Bossman.
2. Remember? What are both dead? Was their tag team that good?
3. What was their name?
4. Twin Towers.

Took me a few seconds, but… WOW.
