WCW Cactus Jack Mr. Bang Bang Foam GunWCW Cactus Jack Mr. Bang Bang Foam Cactus

I was browsing the Wrestling On Earth “Merchandise Table” section (highly recommended!) and they have an entire page on Foam Fingers and related foam “things” that’s well worth taking a look at.

It’s there that I found these two weird ones- A foam Cactus Jack gun, and a foam “Mr. Bang-Bang” cactus monster!

I’ll give WCW points for creativity with these! The giant foam gun looks like something Yosemite Sam would use to try and shoot Bugs Bunny with.

I’d like to think that the cactus monster’s name is “Bang Bang”.

  1. Mister Forth says:

Man there have been a lot of foam-related merchandise in wrestling.

  2. Anonymous says:

The cactus monster looks like it’s giving the finger.

  3. John C says:

I’m shocked that WCW was allowed to produce such a non-politically correct piece of merchandise like a gun. From the company that had to say “International Object” on tv instead of foreign object. Even the Washington Bullets had to change their name to the Wizards because sports teams nicknames have been known to kill upwards of zero people every year. Think of all the lives that have lost due to the use of foam bullets from foam guns. Shame, shame on you WCW.

That’s an interesting point! I hadn’t thought of it that way but now that you mention it…

    • Vealchop says:

I completely forgot about the ‘international object’ era in WCW.

Didn’t Jesse Ventura once call El Gigante a foreign object?

    • the14thlistener says:

The Bullets became the Wizards because the team’s owner was bummed out about gun violence in DC. It didn’t matter to him that his team’s nickname wasn’t the inspiration for the shootings.

  4. Sean Bateman says:

I hopt the foam gun isn’t Mick Foley approved

    • "The Big Cheese" Paul Kraft says:

At the time I don’t think Mick was in much of a position to approve anything. heh.

      • John C says:

The beauty is even if Mick approved of it he could say he didn’t remember because of the amnesia he was suffering from at the time in WCW.

  5. George from Dudleyville NY says:

I joke about owning most of “The someone bout this” section at one time or another. But I really want that foam gun. Easy to guess bcuz my name and I know not ECW merchandise, but all I’m thinking of is watching MSG in NY at like 2am on Saturdays as a youth and watching Cactus. Also I refuse to ackknowledge his amnesia angle. Never happened, lol. Bang Bang!
