“Paying too much for a satin wrestling jacket doesn’t make the world work!!!”
I just love the over-the-top quality of the artwork on the back of this thing.
You will recall that this is the jacket The Ultimate Warrior was wearing when the evil black goo started coming out of his head thanks to Papa Shango’s voodoo curse.
Don’t let anyone tell you that the jacket was simply used as a convenient way to hide plastic tubing, a pump, and a bag of black goo because I just won’t hear of it.
I wonder if dry-cleaning can get evil black goo out of satin?
There was also a Hulk Hogan version, but it was severely lacking in Destrucity.

“Wear this jacket and all eyes will be on you” – truth in advertising there, a first
Ha! Right you are!
I remember seeing this and the Hogan one for sale in the WWF catalogue included in the old WWF magazine. I desparately wanted either one. Ahhh, youth.
Dude, I’d buy that in a heartbeat even today. Yes it’s cheesy, yes it’s corny, but by God, the Destrucity would be intense.
A friend of mine has the Hulk Hogan one. It still looks incredible even after all these years – colours haven’t faded or anything.
Here ya go Jimbolian. I’ve seen a few of these floating around ebay.
Oops sorry, forgot to include the link.

I so wanted one of these as a kid. Hell, if I found one at a yard sale or at the Goodwill, I’d even wear it once or twice now. Always thought that was an awesome jacket, especially back in the day as a kid.
I had one when I was a kid. Bought it on ebay when it first started for about 50 bucks. Sold it couple years later.
I found one that looks like it’s in great shape on ebay, considering buying it…

I bought one for my boyfriend (at the time) and it’s awesome!!! When him and I split he left it behind!! Now with The warrior diseased I’m thinking of selling it. I was a Sting fan myself.
Put that sucker up on eBay. You’re bound to get at least $50 for it and probably more.
I paid $100 for it.
You could probably get $150 or more for it now that he’s dead and Warrior stuff is more in demand. Actually the time to put it up probably would have been the day he died, but try it now. Good luck!
