It Came From YouTube: Paul Heyman knows a woman’s place- in the kitchen!

Scott Keith just posted this clip on his blog and it was too awesome not to share with you Crappers.

At Halloween Havoc 1992 Paul E. Dangeorusly (yes, that’s Paul Heyman with a lot more hair and a lot less weight) speaks his mind about women.

It’s such a great example of how to be a slimy, scumbag heel that I had to post it here.

“Because you’re a woman, and I know that means you’re stupid; I’ll spell it out for you…”.

Guys- try using that line in everyday conversation with a woman and let me know how that works out for you. License To Pick Up Chicks!

This angle could’ve been a total heatless train wreck with almost anyone else but Paul Heyman in the rule of the complete and total jerk who we know is about to get exactly what’s coming to him from a much stronger, smarter opponent who just happens to be a woman.

I think this is probably the most Madusa/Alunda Blayze was ever over in her entire unremarkable career (save for the time she threw the WWF Woman’s Title in the trash on Nitro).

But, as cool as this segment is; it lead to a match between the two at a Clash Of The Champions that was pretty awful (as you’d expect) and that’s airtime that could’ve been used to get two wrestlers over who people care about, so I guess it really is WrestleCrap after all.

  1. Anonymous says:

Madusa should have been bigger, but she had NO charisma. She was arguably the greatest female in-ring technician working in American wrestling in the 80s and 90s, but she completely lacked any real understanding of how to get a character over or appeal to the audience on an emotional level.

  2. John says:

If Paul E. really wanted to teach her a lesson he would have just bounced a few checks to her.

  3. James says:

I wish we had the uncensored version (first bleep: “hooker,” second “bastard”, third “bitch”)

  4. Phil Melcher says:

I think Jackie Gleason should get partial credit for this promo. Paulie was going half Ralph Kramden/half American Psycho here. I remember reading in pro wrestling illustrated a story about Medusa outside the ring and how “normal” she seemed to be. The picture showed Medusa in a flannel shirt with a hammer in her hand and nails in her mouth (if I recall correctly) like Rosie the Riveter almost.

  5. Paul R. from says:

Am I the only one amused when Paul says, “…That he’s [Bill Watts] wanted me gone since He came to WCW, cause I can run this company a helluva lot better than he could.”

With his financial acumen, I don’t think a Paul E.-run WCW would have lasted to the end of the 1990s.
