This selection of clips from MST3K’s episode Samson vs. The Vampire Woman does not have a ton of the professional wrestler who is the hero of the piece. On the other hand, it’s an episode of MST3K where the movie they watch STARS A PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER! More than that, the legendary Mexican luchador El Santo basically stars as himself, and wears his mask during the movie. The American dubbed version may call him Samson, but, rest assured, the Mexican version is called Santo vs. las Mujeres Vampiro. It has some funny stuff from Mike and the bots, and Santo setting a bunch of women on fire with a big torch. What more could you want?

Ah, yes! One of my favorite MST3k episodes. Plenty of good riffs in this one.

Check out the episode guide entry for this episode.

Thanks Chris!

You can learn more about the wrestler from the movie (yes, he was a real Mexican wrestler) here.

If only Teddy Long went to Mexico (after being chased out of Booker T’s kitchen in a recent Headlie):

“Tonight, we gonna have us a tag team match! And it will be: El Santo and Santa Claus vs. The Vampire Women and Pitch, playa!”

That could main-event any show on this planet or any satellite in geosynchronous orbit!
