Check out this episode of Jim Varney’s short lived (but Emmy Award winning) series “Hey Vern: It’s Ernest” where we see Ernest prepare for his wrestling debut against Chainsaw Chester with $10,000 on the line. We see Ernest train, cut promos, and develop his wrestling persona! Plus George the Lizard tries multiple sports, Miss Simon Simmons teaches us sportsmanship, and an episode of My Father The Clown!
All this and much, much more in a show that was too strange to last, but way too weird to be forgotten!
Wow!
You should buy the show on DVD here on Amazon and support this here website, you know what I mean, Vern?
i miss Jim Varney
Jim was the common man.
I watched this show religiously when I was eight, which probably says a lot about me.
If Ernest was still alive, he, Macaulay Culkin and Pee Wee Herman would have teamed up and made Rusev’s…..Day.
OH! And My Father the Clown makes me think if Doink the Clown turned into Dr. D Schultz in order to save his WWF run after his Wrestlecrap face turn.
