After shamelessly watching the Rock N’ Wrestling Episode posted on Wrestlecrap, I decided to watch another. I stopped after the first minute because I wanted to send this clip into you. It’s your friend and mine, Bobby the Brain Heenan, looking fairly spry in 1986. In true Brain fashion he shows us how to pump some iron the Weasel way. I was surprised how focused and serious he is throughout the clip. The guy’s a proven winner though so I think it’s worth a look.

I hate working out but had the Brain produced his own workout videos, I guaran-damn-tee just as certain as I am ripping off other people’s catch phrases that it would be a license to print money. Enjoy!

Nothing I can add could possibly make this any funnier (because it’s Bobby Heenan for crying out loud!) so I will instead simply say thank you for sending this my way and giving me a smile!

One thing I never really noticed until just now… Bobby Heenan was awesome calling PBP because he wasn’t above making himself look stupid and/or ignorant without any idea he was being such. When I listen to JBL (and I guess Vince for that matter, because he’s in everyone’s ear on Raw), I hear someone too uptight about ever sounding wrong, always trying to spout “facts”, and just being a douche about every little thing, never letting anyone else look better.

    Absolutely brilliant!

I’m impressed. Just look at the way Bobby is handling that weight. He’s playing around, being a goof obviously. As Scrooge pointed out, Bobby is being ironic in that he’s calling himself a “Brain” but obviously doing it wrong.

However, considering he’s a middle aged man in that clip, that’s a decent amount of weight to be playing with. I know guys in their 40’s and 50’s who would have trouble lifting that for real, and Bobby is there using it to create a gag. Impressive.

Heenan was ALWAYS entertaining. This is no exception.

I never appreciated Bobby’s work when I was a younger dummy in the 80’s and now that I’m a horribly old man he knocks my socks off with how funny he really was back in the day. If you don’t have a happier better day after listening to him and Gene doing that Gimmick Battle Royal you have serious issues. The business could really use him now..

    Great comic acting, Bobby!
