It Came From YouTube: Wrestlers on Nickelodeon “FIgure It Out” game show

Crapper Chris Morgan submitted this video and writes:

Like the bloodthirsty audiences of the days of your, these children demand slime. They demand to see these Figure It Out panelists covered in some neon green sludge, and sometimes professional wrestling folks were lined up as sacrifices. Ah, but unlike Brian Knobbs, who seemed confused by the whole situation, Chris Jericho and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan force the audience, cackling with glee, to look themselves in the mirror. If you dump slime on the abyss for long enough, it dumps slime back on you. Also, sometimes they really luxuriate in it, like Jericho seems to do. Always the showman that Jericho. At least Danny Tamberelli seemed into it.

Oh man, this is a ton of fun to see. I used to love this show but I somehow never saw this before. Thanks, Chris!

I wish there was footage of Macho Man getting slimed at the 1999 Kids Choice Awards around…

…hey, that’d be perfect, since this year’s KCAs are coming up!

I remember Bobby “the Brain” Heenan making an appearance on the Kids Choice Awards (I think it was the first ever one in 1988)! If you want to talk about dedication to your craft, this lost a war of words with Jeremy Miller from Growing Pains! No luck finding any footage of that, but Dailymotion had the clip of him from the 1989 KCA tormenting a bored looking Nicole Eggert from Charles In Charge.

Someone put the whole 1988 awards up on YouTube… it was amazing seeing Heenan appear 2 years in a row!

Man, that was great watching that KCA 1989 clip. I think that was wil weaton.

Maybe it’s because I was a kid when they were on, but I always felt the KCAs from the late 1980/early 1990s were the best. The ones today plain suck.

I remember the one with bobby from 1988. I think it was on a castle greyskull-type set and it was held at universal studios.

Sorry to go off on a tangent, but anyone remember when Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon were on Double Dare, with Jim J. Bullock as the guest host (for some reason)? It sticks in my mind because JJB was supposed to say “capture the flag” but he said … a different word that sounds like “flag” but is missing a letter :O

It was a very … interesting verbal flub to hear on television when you’re ten years old.
