WrestleMania IX – By RD Reynolds

WrestleMania XI – By Art O’Donnell

Between these four, which do you guys think is the worst?

I’m going to go with IX, beating out XI by a small margin.

  2. RD Reynolds says:

    IX, no contest!

  3. Lyle says:

Out of all of the inductions ever, the only one that I actually 100% disagree with is WrestleMania XXVII.

Sure, it wasn’t great and had a lot of filler, but Justin himself admitted that there were four good matches, not too mention the Taker/HHH classic. 4/8 matches in the three star range? There are MUCH worse ppvs from the WWF that deserve to be inducted. Is every Mania that only had a couple of really good matches (ie. 1, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 20) going to be inducted now?

People just look at the event negatively because of the backstage issues (Rock taking too much time, Bryan/Sheamus being pushed, Miz in the main event) and ignore the good things about it.

I also say 9 is the worst, with 11 closely behind.

As for 27, the only good points of it for me were Edge-Alberto (even though it shouldn’t have opened the PPV), Cody-Rey, and Triple H-Undertaker.

Aside from the bad stuff already mentioned, there’s the atrocious Cole-Lawler, Rock helping Miz win in the main event, and Big Show, Kane, Kofi, and Santino vs. The Corre being shortened down to 90 seconds.

Seeing as how WWE cut Salt-n-Pepa from the WM XI dvd and re-airings because of not wanting to pay royalties, did WWE do the same with the Monday Night Football theme that LT used as his entrance music?

  5. Mister Forth says:

The order to me is as follows: IX-Mediocre matches & a main event that threw long term booking out the window. XI-A product of the worst time in the company’s history, as well as a Championship match that sabotaged the face. 2-More a victim of production issues involved running 3 mini shows across the country, in addition to mostly underwhelming celebrities. XXVII-Not a great WM. It’s main problems were a whole match was bumped off the card to give time to 2 matches that went way too long, & a main event that was really an ad for the next 2 WMs.
