Not if you ask a Scotsman – then Scotland is a proud, noble, independent land that suffered far too long under the English and has finally regained its independence.
Unless you’re asking him to support his country financially, then it’s a bit of a different matter.
Very amusing as always but while I hate to be “that guy” Scotland is in fact part of the British isles, therefore drew McIntyre is already British!
Since the Union Jack is the flag that represents all three nations of the UK (England, Scotland and Wales) it seems to be assumed abroad that it represents England alone which is incorrect (that flag would be the St George’s cross, which admittedly is less flamboyant and presumably less recognisable overseas).
Sorry to ruin your joke but it would have been more accurate to say that McIntyre was pretending to be “English” which has greater resonance since the Scots hate us English and are currently seeking independence from us.
I don’t mean to turn this into a political discussion but as a Scotsman myself I can assure you that only a small minority of us will be voting for independence this year, and I won’t be one of them.
Like James Clancy, I didn’t want to create a political discussion on this site and I must confess, I always get stumped on the whole “UK and Ireland” issue since it always causes arguments so I hoped I would get away with sweeping it under the carpet so to speak… 😛
The difference between “English” and “British” is the same as the difference between “American” and “North American” as all Englishmen are British but not all Britons are English (Canada anyone?). As for Ireland, that is the name of the island which contains two countries Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom while the Republic Of Ireland is not i hope that clears it up
back to the point can i go dancing on shrooms please
What do you expect, the WWE is the only big name in wrestling, TNA’s a joke, ROH is lucky to be on at 2am sunday morning on some obscure cable channel, why should they even try?
Wow look at this. I came to Wrestlecrap to start my day off with a laugh and I find myself being educated about the political system of the United Kingdom. And people say wrestling fans are uneducated.
Didn’t Sandow have a round of backgammon with Sheamus?
The very last one was the very best one.
Scotland is part of Britain.
Thank you. I can t understand why no american seems to understand this.
Because no American gives a crap.

When the lights go out just before Wyatt and company appear… WWE should play Dueling Banjos.
Thank You!!! That’s what I’ve been saying about the Wyatts since their very first vignette.

Thanks for reading and keep up the good work! 🙂

Four nations are part of the UK. You forgot Northern Ireland.
Easily done

Which reminds me: I miss Fit Finlay.
Hunico is back? Yaaaaay!
The chinlock joke was sweet. It’s like reliving all the Luger-Bagwell matches one resthold at a time.
Love that Simpsons reference.
For those complaining about the Scotland joke…..
I just really wanted to reference Regal hitting a moose with a hockey stick. 🙁
Cause he’s a man, a real man’s man.
Orton and cena as champs…tna sucks…marks still think punk is the best…
What is this, 2005?

Or in Syndication for ROH
This was better than last week. Regal with a hockey stick, that’s a classic.
