Someone Bought This: WCW Dennis Rodman figures with wacky hair and accessories

WCW Dennis Rodman Green Hair figure WCW Dennis Rodman Orange Hair figure

When he wasn’t playing basketball, Dennis Rodman wrestled for WCW.

This was back when apparently he mattered in basketball, and WCW loved any celebrity cameo they could manage to get.

WCW thought it would be a good idea to release figures of Dennis to appeal to all the WCW fans and all the Dennis Rodman/Basketball fans!

I bet they sold a grand total of about 1000 of them, if that. I don’t think even fans of Dennis Rodman wanted these things.

It came with a basketball backboard for Dennis to use as a weapon.

Because he was a basketball player, you see.

You can still get them online today mint in package with orange hair or green hair variants because.. that wacky Dennis loved to dye his hair silly colors (ooo, what a bad boy!).

Does come with pimp hat as illustrated!

Crapper George From Duddleyville NY commented below that there’s even an NWO Dennis Rodman figure with blindingly green hair (and white skin?) that they paired with Hollywood Hogan!

YOu think that’s bad. There is a Tank Abbott WWE Action Figure.

  2. DeweyDTruman says:

I had one of these, it was one of like a thousand figures I had when I was younger that I just happened on in the local thrift shop’s “loose” box for a dollar or two. Even back then I thought it looked weirdly out of place with the rest of my wrestlers (due to him being taller, thinner and of course having orange hair.)

That’s great. I was expecting the NWO Rodman figure with green hair. I could almost swear I owned that crappy figure, it was during WCW heyday I think. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I checked, and you’re right- there was an NWO Rodman with green hair released with a Hogan figure in a two-pack! http://www.amazon.com/NWO-Hollywood-Figures-Toymakers-Collectible/dp/B001CIVX28

I think that’s the happiest I’ve ever seen Hogan look. Just look at that face along with a body that features big hands a huge torso, and something about his legs doesn’t sit right with me.

Plus what is that on his head? It sure doesn’t look a bandana. Whoever made these figures should have used the following picture as a reference

  5. BaltoJim says:

Hollywood Hogan looks like Scott Steiner with a salad bowl stuck on his head. The toothpick legs are pretty disturbing, too.

  6. John C says:

Finally with this I could book a dream match, The Worm Dennis Rodman vs Scotty 2 Hotty the master of the worm. It’s a slam dunk that this would be a main event in any arena in the world. It’ll make fans dribble all over themselves with anticipation.

  7. Mortuary Matt says:

Dude! I have the nwo Rodman figure sitting next to my stereo proudly wearing an old AWA title belt from Remco toys. I love that crappy toy!

  8. the dude says:

My brother and I had the second one, the Hogan/Rodman combo. I actually liked Hollywood Hogan back then, not sure why, and my brother still is a huge Bulls fan. Yes, Rodman was a big deal in basketball, even if you don’t seem to agree. He’s at least a four time champion, on two different teams, and is in the basketball hall of fame. He wasn’t however, a big deal in wrestling at all. They were pretty crappy toys, definitely wrestlecrap.

  9. George from Dudleyville NY says:

Now that u mention it, I think the actual quality was pretty weak also. I think they were very light n doll like. Crap indeed gentleman. Props to the guy who mentioned Tank Abbot figure. Mother of god, lol
