Someone Bought This: Mega Maniacs “megaphone”

Mega Maniacs megaphone toy

In 1993 the WWF teamed up Hulk Hogan and Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake and turned Jimmy Hart face to manage them. The team was known as “The Mega Maniacs” and the only thing of note they did was feud with Money Inc.

I believe this (so-called) “Megaphone” was the only piece of “Mega Maniacs” merchandise the WWF produced. It’s really just a plastic cone that doesn’t so much amplify your voice as make it echo a little like you’re shouting inside a cave.

I guess it’s for kids who really, really wanted to be like Jimmy Hart.

I seem to recall the WWF asking a whopping $19.99 or something like that for this cheap, plastic piece of junk.

What was the flimsiest, cheapest piece of wrestling merchandise you ever owned? Comment below and let us know!

  1. Down With OPC says:

I had a Heidenreich bracelet that read “Will You Be My Friend?” The thing was snap-on, but tended to not stay together. I think I lost it years ago.

  2. The Scanian Maniac says:

A bit surprising WWE didn’t even produce some “I paid money to watch the Mega-Maniacs at Wrestlemania IX and all I got was this lousy t-shirt” merchandise.
