It Came From YouTube: TNA steals from TMZ headlines for their angles now.

I’m just going to copy and paste what the people at Lords Of Pain wrote about this video (I’ll give credit to them, because that’s where I saw it):

As seen above, TNA has shot an angle to play off the Jay-Z and Solange Knowles elevator fight that’s been all over the media this week.

The video shows Dixie Carter getting into an elevator and attacking Rockstar Spud after he interrupted an interview she was doing with Jeremy Borash.

What do you Crappers think about this video and TNA’s decision to copy the real-life incident for this angle?

I heard a terrible rumor that TNA was still on the air. That’s not true, right?

  2. Purple says:

TMZ Wrestling could probably do better booking than TNA.

*sniff* *sniff* ah, yes, I recognise the bouquet now. I’m picking up hints of desperation with subtle after-notes of total crap and maybe just a little whiff of putrid decomposition

A couple of months back I stated the only US based wrestling I watched was TNA. Well, as of 3 weeks ago I stopped watching TNA, I had enough. Now this comes out. This is “The Death of WCW” all over again.

TNA had so much potential back in 2005, but they wasted it going after every guy WWE released. Getting the Dudleys and Christian was good, but Scott Steiner or Rhino? Then the gangrene of Hogan and Bischoff. Bringing in Flair, Mick Foley, Pritchard, Taz, Aces N’ Eights, it stunk. Then what really killed them was wasting a ton of money to go on the road every week at Hoga’s behest. He takes off, and the conpany has no funds so they cut like crazy. Now the perception is so bad that people are giving up on TNA despite having talent like Bobby Roode, Joe (even he is getting older), the Wolves, and EC3 (while a bit of a silly gimmick, he is talented and has a great look). I cannot see how they can turn it around because Dixie at this point may be TNA’s greatest enemy.

Too bad too, because TNA had some great moments and great wrestlers in its six-sided ring. Guys like Ron Killings, Amazing Red, Sabin, Styles, Shelley, Sonjay Dutt, LAX, Daniels and so many more.

Who could ever forget this epic TNA moment?

Russo still unsure if he’s employed by tna or not.

  6. John C says:

The whole thing looks and sounds like a bad public access wrestling show done by 13 year olds on a budget of 11 cents. Even Robo-Linda is more convincing at acting than Dixie Cups.

  7. Dan Sheldon says:

Mr. McMahon is mad because he didn’t think of this first.

  8. Mister Forth says:

At least they had the taste to avoid doing a Casey Kasim angle… For now.

  9. Down With OPC says:

I can’t wait until they do Miley vs. Biebz.

  10. Nick Nutter says:

Hey, I thought this was funny. Rockstar Spud is probably the best thing about TNA right now, which in itself is pretty sad, but hey. He’s trying…

    • Boz says:

Yes. yes he is isn’t he . . . very trying. Oh and as someone who lives just a few miles from his hometown, I find it hard to take that accent seriously. Mind you, if he talked ‘proper Brummie’ then you’d be begging for Cheryl Cole to translate ;)
