Crapper Mike Burke writes:

The Rock plays his father Rocky Johnson on a season 1 episode of “That 70’s Show” with Ernie Ladd appearing as his manager. (Ken Shamrock and the Hardys also made an appearance.)

That opening joke by The Rock was great!

This would’ve been so much better without the cutesey reference to The Rock thrown in, though.

And that young man would grow up to be The Miz…and now you know the rest of the (long pause) story.

I saw this when it aired. Still remembered the “midget bites” line.

  3. FFT says:

The cutesy Rock line doesn’t work because Rocky Johnson was a wrestler and wrestling predates “sports entertainment.”

Was Red Forman the inspiration for kicking rootie poo candy asses ?

It was odd seeing a non-blurred WWF logo in this day and age.
