It Came From YouTube: The Greatest Wrestling Theme Song Of All Time

In case there was any confusion, they were not in fact The Mounties.

I hope we’ve cleared that issue up once and for all.

(If you get this song stuck in your head for the rest of the day, you’re welcome!).

  1. Izzy says:

    Four words….

    Just Look At Me

  2. John says:

Why do I think that somewhere Pat Patterson strolls around in a motel room to this still.

  3. Jay "The Brain" Mann says:

I’ve been looking for a MIDI version of this for years. Hell, I’d even settle for the one from that WWF Superstars game for the Game Boy. Alas, nobody else shares my opinion.

But I totally agree with you, Big Cheese. This is definitely the greatest theme song of all time. Well, original theme song, of course. Best of all time (including adapted) would have to go to “I Touch Myself”. Either that or “The Touch”. Nothing says “egomaniacal bastard” like the former and nothing says “cocky jerk” like the latter.

  4. Shawn says:

Just because I literally just found it and had no idea it was even out there in the internet world, Se7en’s theme! It is so incredibly creepy especially the ending with him saying “Now sleep, my children!”

  5. Mike says:

Akeem. Jive Soul Bro. Discussion over. Though I will also accept Rhythm & Blues or Dusty’s WWF tenure.

  6. Autrach Sejanoz says:

I actually quite liked Heidenreich’s theme, “Dangerous Politics”.

  7. Stu says:

The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers was a beautiful piece of 80s synth.

But lest we forget William Regal/Steven Regal’s “Real Man’s Man” theme! Now *there’s* a tune to get stuck in your head!

  8. Bone White says:

Psycho Sid’s music was a nice bit of John Carpenter scary synth stuff which I liked a lot

  9. Mark Cardoso says:

    My favorite

  10. Ralphus says:

Funny thing, I had this theme as my ring tone for a period of time, my phone rang once and a girl I was dating said, “that ring tone is kinda gay…” and I broke up with her the next day.

NUMBER 1 DE QUEBEC! NUMBER 1!

  11. Addison says:

Some of my favorites were The York Foundation, Rick Martel, Koko B Ware’s theme was pretty cool, too… But the Fabulous Rougeaus (and maybe Demolition) were my favorites.

  12. aaAndrew says:

The theme from the Royal Rumble that Mean Gene would talk over as he would introduce the participants

  13. Bill "Wild Legend" Davis says:

Nice try. But NO theme song reminds me of classic 80s WWF like this:

Admit it — it gets stuck in your head too.

  15. hobu0 says:

The Rougeau brothers and Jive Soul Bro. Nothing makes me happier on this earth than those two jams.

  16. Sean Bateman says:

The next Canadian National anthem, because I am not the mounties!!!

  17. Forest George says:

Actually my favorite was the original Mountie theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc75sS6ya40

No not that one – this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckGiexijcqk
