Crapper Sean Bateman writes:

Look left the WWF in the early 1990s and become a jobber in Herb Abrams’ UWF, WC inductee The Battle Kat. Now he is now Fire Cat, which he is not “en fuego”. One of the Black Hearts later became Gangrel.

I love it! What a great, weird gimmick The Black Hearts have. I like their masks and hoods look.

And the fire thing is just the icing on the Silly Cake.

Luna is appropriately creepy and weird, of course!

I’d have totally been cheering for those guys!

  1. Ben Dover says:

Did they come to the ring to Shane Douglas ECW theme Perfect Strangers? Or am I hearing things? Also, Luna is looking kinda hot!

  2. The Scanian Maniac says:

The Blackhearts were in WCW for a period:

Gangrel also used the Blackheart gimmick in the WWE around the mid 90s as a jobber I think?

  3. Bone White says:

One has to ask “where is Joan Jett”? Sorry

  4. John C says:

“That looks like a front facelock piledriver Vince.”
“It’s me Craig DeGeorge, Bruno and that was a DDT.”
“Oh, okay whatever you say Vince.”

I never knew Luna also doubled as Sunny Beach. It was funny the ring attendant taking the jackets back wearing the snake around his neck, doesn’t he know he’s supposed to be terrified of it unless it’s his. If only Herb could have kept them in business longer and we could have had the epic Mask Confusion-Black Hearts mask vs mask matches.

  5. Nick Nutter says:

    Who what now?

  6. Greg says:

Cool gimmick, but man, sloppy match. That Veg-O-Matic at the end was horrid! Stan and Bobby always made that move look absolutely devastating. Terrible commentary, too. Still, love that crazy gimmick and Luna was always awesome.

  7. Trench Reynolds says:

Terry Gordy vs. Johnny Ace? Where’s that mat classic?
