It Came From YouTube: Stan Hansen Japanese Trading Card Game Commercial

Crapper Ryan Taylor submitted this weird commercial and writes…

Here’s “The Lariat” in a commercial for a Japanese trading card game, which only goes to prove that Japan is still weird.

VANGARD FIGHT! DAIGO!

Let me say yet again how much I love Japanese commercials. There needs to be a U.S TV channel that shows nothing but Japanese commercials.

Thanks for the submission, Ryan!

Later, Hansen is kicked out as dean after commenting on students’ teeny weeny wieners.

And you gotta knock Vader’s eye out of his socket. LARIET-OI!!!!!!!!!
As a bonus the song playing kind of reminded of the theme from No Holds Barred.

Anybody else think it would have been awesome for Stan to knock that dorky looking dude on his ass with a monster lariat, then choke him with his cowbell rope? I’d buy a card game if I saw a commercial like that!

  4. Chris says:

I went into this thinking it’d be a wrestling card game, much like the old “Raw Deal” game (if anyone remembers that!) But instead, it’s a yu-gi-oh knockoff that has had limited success in the states which makes it very odd!
