From the early days of Raw. To be fair Savage was 2 payments late on that hat…

Oh yes, the epic hat feud! A true classic.

On an unrelated note; I forgot how annoying that siren was.

Thanks, Paul!

Kind of sad Demolition Smash turned into this. Was it really necessary to kill Demolition in 1991, who had dominated the Tag Team scene for years?

    • Scrooge McSuck says:

Without Ax, the team lost a lot of momentum. I liked Crush, but he was green as baby shit and seemed lost in the ring at times. Ax wasn’t the best technical wrestler, but he had this presence in the ring that made every match interesting. Crush was just a guy in Demolition face paint.

No what’s sad is Darsow was wasted for so many years in a poor man’s Road Warriors when he was such an awesome comedic heel.

You should really put up a warning first on a video when the first thing you see is that piece of garbage Rob Bartlett. Wow divorce must be real expensive when you have to buy a hat on a payment plan. Repo Man was always my favorite guilty pleasure character, it was goofy but the sneaking around stuff was funny. Although seeing 100,000,000 DiBiase & Repo vs Virgil & El Matador tag matches got real old on every Prime Time.

  3. AK says:

I am somewhat surprised the Repo Man and IRS never teamed up. I mean re position and taxes don’t necessarily go hand in hand but considering both guys warned that you needed to pay up, I figure there was a connection worth exploiting.

Okay the real reason I wish they tagged is so that IRS could dress up to look just like the Repo Man. He could still keep the tie and the suspenders, just have him wear the Lone Ranger mask (under his glasses) and the jacket with the tire parts spelling out IRS.

Could even call then Repo Inc.

    • The Scanian Maniac says:

But wasn’t Money Inc., the IRS & The Million Dollar Man, a wonderful play on corporatism and cronyism that perhaps would work even better, and resonate both with occupiers and tea partiers, today? :-)

      • Paul S. says:

Yeah… but they could have had a great break-up angle where IRS caught Dibiase cheating on taxes, sent the Repo Man to take everything away from him, and then Dibiase’s faceturn would be that he had to start over again from rock bottom.

  4. The Dragonfly says:

Hey, if you owe money on a hat, you owe money on a hat.

  5. Guilty Party says:

Say what you will about ol’ Barry… I really liked his Barely Legal/ Breaker 1-9 armbar submission hold.

  6. Mister Forth says:

A shame that this was they’re continuing to push Darsow. He at least made the most of it.

  7. Anonymous says:

What a terrible era for wrestling.

  8. Jeremy says:

Why this didn’t lead to a match at WrestleMania I’ll never know.

  9. The Angry Jobber says:

Just like RD said in the into of Repo….Macho should have considered Layaway.
