J.R. sits down for an interview with Music Geeks….and for 8 minutes proceeds to make me laugh from top to bottom. Not only is he jabbing the interviewer rather subtly, but the snark and dry wit is off the page. You’d swear that as soon as he was forced into retirement due to his love of Snapple, that Good Ol’ J.R. and “Angry” Jim molded into one entertaining individual.

Don’t believe me? Try to keep a straight face while hearing J.R.’s “limp penis” reference…

HA! That is legitimately the funniest submission I’ve gotten in months!

Jim Ross is an absolute riot here!

Thank you, Ezenwa!

  1. Ezenwa says:

I’m still laughing at the reference….wow.

  2. Preparation Triple H says:

Legitimate question: Has anyone around here actually ordered and/or consumed J.R.’s BBQ sauce?

  3. The Doctor of Style says:

This is amazing. For all his reputation as a straight play-by-play guy, Ross shows he could’ve been a Bobby Heenan-type wiseguy instead. (The cufflinks seal the deal.) Makes you wonder what his career would’ve looked like going in such a completely different direction.

One weird thing: did this interview take place in front of a blue screen?

  4. hobu0 says:

Ross is like that during those Legends of Wrestling roundtable shows. He’s pretty witty and totally deadpans it, making it even funnier.

  5. 80's Guy says:

Man, the interviewer is horrifyingly bad. Loosen up, man. For Pete’s sake.

I do disagree with J.R’s comments on “pushes” and getting over. There are many ways to easily ruin a guy’s momentum, popularity, push, and career and keep them down. It’s been proven numerous times throughout history, and also numerous times in just the past couple years.

J.R.s just trying not to make waves, which he is good at. But come on, man. Really?
