Crapper Little Louie P, aka The Doctor of Style writes:

This is the live version (performed at the Hollywood Bowl) of an ingenious sketch from Monty Python’s 70′s TV show: Colin “Bomber” Harris wrestles himself in a one-man, 2 out of 3 falls match. He’s played by Graham Chapman (best known as King Arthur from Monty Python & the Holy Grail), who shows a flair for physical comedy that rivals John “Silly Walks” Cleese (who commentates the match).

The main sketch begins at 00:35.

Thanks, Little Louie P!

  1. Autrach Sejanoz says:

Such a shame Graham left us so soon. He was brilliant.

  2. Bastard1 says:

I’d say Graham, rest his soul, is more inexorably tied to the role of Brian rather than Arthur.

  3. John Q Occupier says:

Right! Stop that- it’s far too silly. Started off as a perfectly nice sketch about a men wrestling himself but now it’s just got silly. That man’s hair’s too long to be a wresting referee, anyway. And those ringposts are shoddily constructed.

    ;)

  4. Lee W says:

And that’s the first fall to Bomber. Well, what a surprise there. I think Bomber will have to come back at himself pretty fast now, before he gets on top.

  5. The Foiler says:

There it is, Colin’s most famous hold! The one-leg over-shoulder Gerry Ford!
