Chicago, IL – At 11:53pm on Friday night, former WWE Superstar and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk submitted his audition tape for the next season of Tough Enough.

With just minutes to spare, Punk finished editing his audition tape, making sure to include his favorite songs by the band Rancid playing over his promo. Despite having quit the company over a year ago, Punk had sent in an audition tape in the hopes that he would eventually go to NXT.

Shot in several locations, including a hallway, his bathroom, his living room, and on Lakeshore Drive, Punk listed why he is Tough Enough to be in the WWE. Showing signs of “ring rust”, Punk stumbled over some words while doing pull ups, referring to Roman Reigns as “Roman Rollins”. Punk’s friend Colt Cabana can actually be seen in one shot eating Lucky Charms at the kitchen table.

While his delivery was shaky at times, Punk made a convincing argument, pointing to his MMA training and experience writing comic books.

In regards to the tape, WWE COO Triple H said, “Oh, yeah. I’ve seen it. Great stuff. This kid has potential.”

A large, mischievous smile spread across Triple H’s face.

“He’ll be great on Smackdown!” said Triple H, laughing to himself.

I just pissed myself from laughing….

  2. Andre R. says:

Well, that was a series of cheap shots and low blows. Pretty unnecessary. At least I think so.

Cheap shots and low blows? Like every interview that jabroni has done since quitting?

  3. John C says:

Trips then sprang forward to call up Ryback, “Guess who you have a six month program with. I’m sure you two can air out whatever bad blood existed. Just to make it more special you and Punk can have a Table Match every night of the week. Have fun, Big Guy.”

  4. MistaMaddog says:

And by next year he’ll be on NXT with a new name, Phil S. Brooke…

  5. Down With OPC says:

    On VHS, I bet.

I don’t get the polarization over Brooks. I’ll be honest, from what I saw of him in ROH and WWE,I was never blown away. He was good, but he ripped off KENTA.

The man was pissed and walked out. Was he right? Like most situations, there are elements where he was right, and elements where he was wrong. He left over year ago, and he probably won’t be back.

Can this whole thing just stay as dead as Dave Sullivan’s career?

  7. Commodus says:

I hope he hits the big time one day. Keep reaching for the stars, kid!
